Torchwood Synopsis
A successful Doctor Who spin off, Torchwood debuted in 2006. Created by Russell T Davies and produced by BBC Wales, Torchwood tells a story of Torchwood Three, a Cardiff branch of Torchwood Institute. Torchwood Three consists out of 5 operatives led by Captain Jack Harkness (played by John Barrowman) who monitor the space/time rift that runs through Cardiff.
Torchwood season 3 (or Children of Earth) will mark a change of direction, as it will consist out of 5 episodes with one story arc that will run for 5 consecutive nights as a mini – series. The previous two seasons were 13 episodes each.
Children of Earth should premiere in the summer of 2009.
