The Karate Kid Synopsis

Based on the popular ’80s film, Karate Kid is an animated series following Daniel LaRusso and Mr. Miyagi.

Rather than compete in a tournament, however, Daniel and Mr. Miyagi (joined by an Okinawan girl named Taki) travel the world.

Their quest is to retrieve a miniature shrine with healing powers that was stolen from Okinawa.

TV Land offers a large number of free full episodes of classic television programs that can be viewed online.

TV Land: Classic and Prime Time Television

For the longest time, my perspective of TV Land has been skewed by the impression that this was just a cable channel that played programs like “Gunsmoke” and “Brady Bunch”, but after checking out the television listing on the TV Land site, I’m seeing that, in addition to classic television programming TV Land’s website also streams a number of prime time programs from the 80’s and 90’s as well, such as “Roseanne” and “The Cosby Show”, in addition to their own original programs.

Doctor Who (2005) Synopsis

Doctor Who (2005) is a Science Fiction television series produced by BBC that first premiered in 1963.

Doctor Who follows the story of the mysterious time traveler only known as the Doctor. He travels through space and time in TARDIS (his time ship) that appears to be 1950s British police box on the outside. Doctor Who is world’s longest running Science fiction program and as such it is listed in the Guinness Book of World records. Doctor has been portrayed by 10 different actors so far since 1963. There was a pause in filming of Doctor Who from 1989 until 1996 when a television movie has been made to try and revive the franchise. That attempt was unsuccessful and it was not until 2005 that Doctor Who successfully relaunched.

The new season of Doctor Who will air in 2010 with Matt Smith as the eleventh Doctor while four specials will be shown during 2009.

Blood Ties is a supernatural crime series produced by Kaleidoscope Entertainment Inc that debuted in March of 2007.

Based on the Blood Books written by Tanya Huff it follows the story of Vicky Nelson (played by Christina Cox). Vicki is a former homicide cop in Toronto who starts to lose her eyesight and decides to become a private investigator. She teams up with a 480 year old vampire Henry Fitzroy (played by Kyle Schmidt).

Blood Ties aired two seasons and in United States the series was shown on Lifetime network.

Rebus is a crime drama television series produced by ITV that premiered in April of 2000.

Based on Rebus books written by Ian Rankin Rebus follows the story of Detective Inspector John Rebus. The location of both the novels and television series is the city of Edinburgh. The role of Inspector Rebus was played by John Hannah in the first two seasons and he was replaced by Ken Scott in season 3.

Rebus aired five seasons.
