Waking the Dead Synopsis

Waking the Dead was a police procedural television series produced by BBC One that premiered in September of 2000.

Created by Barbara Machin Waking the Dead followed the story of a special police unit that was created in order to investigate cold cases. The team used modern technologies and methods that were unavailable at the time when the original investigation took place. The team was led by Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd (played by Trevor Eve – Kidnap and Ransom) and included a forensic scientist and a psychological profiler Doctor Grace Foley (played by Sue Johnston – The Royle Family).

Waking the Dead aired nine seasons.
