North and South Synopsis

North and South was a television mini series produced by ABC that debuted in November of 1985.

Based upon historical novels of John Jakes, North and South depicted events following up to, during and immediately after American Civil War. Starring Patrick Swayze and James Read, North and South’s plot was split into two separate miniseries. Third series followed about a decade later. Large ensemble cast of the series included, among others, Johnny Cash, Robert Mitchum, David Carradine, Kirstie Alley, Leslie-Anne Down, etc.

North and South aired three seasons.
