Cadfael Synopsis

Cadfael is a murder mystery television series produced by ITV.

Cadfael is based on novels created by Edith Pargeter (who wrote under the pen name of Ellis Peters). In total she produced 20 Cadfael novels. Cadfael (played by Derek Jacobi) is a Welsh Benedictine monk who lives in Shrewsburry Abbey in 12th century and investigates different crimes.

Cadfael aired for four seasons.
