Firefly Synopsis
Created by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse), the sci-fi/western series Firefly follows the adventures of Captain Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and his rag-tag crew on the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity.
The major conflict of the series emerges when a strange girl known as River (Summer Glau) is smuggled aboard his ship by her brother, Dr. Simon Tam (Sean Maher), which turns the crew of Serenity into wanted fugitives.
The rest of the crew includes the pilot Wash (Alan Tudyk), second-in-command Zoe (Gina Torres), courtesan Inara (Morena Baccarin), tough guy Jayne (Adam Baldwin), mechanic Kaylee (Jewel Staite), and the enigmatic Shepherd Book (Ron Glass).
