Crusoe Synopsis
Based on Daniel Dafoe’s classic novel Robinson Crusoe, Crusoe stars Philip Winchester as the title character, a man who has been stranded on an island for six years. Crusoe is desperate to leave the island and return to his family.
His sole companion is Friday (Tongayi Chirisa), a native who Crusoe rescued and taught English. Together, they battle various island threats such as pirates and the cannibalistic native tribe to which Friday belongs.
Crusoe’s family is in trouble, too. His wife, Susannah (Anna Walton) must deal with the advances of Crusoe’s evil uncle Jeremiah Blackthorn (Sam Neill), who helps out the family strictly for personal gain: receiving Crusoe’s inheritance.
