Wycliffe Synopsis

Wycliffe is a crime drama television series produced by ITV that premiered in July of 1994.

Based on books written by W. J. Burley Wycliffe follows the story of Detective Superintendent Charles Wycliffe (played by Jack Shepherd) who is helped in his investigations by DI Doug Kersey (played by Jimmy Yuill) and DI Lucy Lane (played by Helen Masters). The series is set in Cornwall and the local problems are integral part of the investigations. While the early series concentrated solely on the murder cases the later seasons also dealt with politics within the police department.
