To the Manor Born Synopsis

To the Manor Born is a situation comedy television series produced by BBC 1 that premiered in September of 1979.

To the Manor Born follows the story of Audrey fforbes – Hamilton (played by Penelope Keith) who after the death of her husband has to move out of the manor they lived in. Her manor is bought by a wealthy supermarket owner Richard DeVere (played by Peter Bowles). The two have a very tumulus relationship which ends up with their marriage.

To the Manor Born aired three seasons and two specials, while the Christmas Special in 2007 the characters celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
