The Silence Synopsis
The Silence is a drama crime television series produced by BBC One that premiered on July 12th 2010.
Written by Fiona Seres The Silence follows the story of deaf girl Alice (played by Genevieve Barr) who goes to stay with her uncle Detective Inspector Jim Edwards (played by Douglas Henshall) after having a cochlear implantation in a bid to adjust to her new circumstances. Amelia is a witness to a policewoman’s murder and it turns out that police officers from the drug squad are responsible for the murder.
