Lark Rise to Candleford Synopsis

Lark Rise to Candleford is a costume drama television series produced by BBC that premiered in January of 2008.

Created by Bill Gallagher and based on novels by Flora Thompson Lark Rise to Candleford follows the stories of people living in small village of Lark Rise and much wealthier inhabitants of nearby market town of Candleford at the end of 19th century. Young Laura Timmins (played by Olivia Hallinan) leaves Lark Rise to go and live with her more independent cousin Dorcas Lane (played by Julia Sawahla) in Candleford.

Lark Rise to Candleford aired two seasons and in the United States can be seen on PBS.
