Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace Synopsis

Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace is a horror situation comedy television series produced by Channel 4 that premiered in January of 2004.

Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace was British sitcom presented as the 1980s horror series created and written by pretentious schlock-horror writer Garth Marenghi (played by Matthew Holness). Made with deliberately bad acting and special effects, the series followed over-the-top horror adventures set in a cursed Darkplace hospital. Each episode also contained interviews with the “real” people working on the show including Marenghi and his publisher friend Dean Lerner (played by Richard Ayoade).
