Fringe Synopsis
From producer J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias) comes Fringe, Fox’s newest heir to the X-Files throne of supernatural investigation.
Anna Torv plays Special Agent Olivia Dunham, an FBI agent assigned to investigate strange phenomena in the world associated with such oddities as cybernetics, telekinesis, and genetic mutation, all of which is classified as “fringe science.”
It takes unconventional means to deal with unconventional problems, so she enlists mad scientist Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his estranged son Peter (Joshua Jackson) to assist her in her strange investigations.
As with any J.J. Abrams show, there is an ongoing mystery to be solved. On Fringe, every phenomenon is involved with some worldwide event called “The Pattern” that may or may not be linked to a major technological research company.
