Barbara Synopsis

Barbara is a situation comedy television series produced by ITV that premiered in July of 1995.

Barbara follows the story of Barbara Liversidge (played by Gwen Taylor), a middle aged woman who works as a doctor’s receptionist. Barbara has been married to Ted, a taxi driver, for 35 years and they have two children together – Neil and Linda. Barbara is known for her no nonsense attitude, frank talk and she is also prone to nosiness – which makes her a resident problem solver for her family, friends and colleagues.

Barbara aired four seasons.
