Obviously the person who wrote this article has not attempted to set-up a Slingbox Solo. The Solo does not have a coax input which makes it very difficult to set-up. I have had mine several days now and have been unable to get it to work. I can’t even find a device to buy that has a coax input to pass the signal through and has the REQUIRED IR function.
Love my original Slingbox but it doesn’t work with iPhone 3G. I rate the Solo upgrade as a rip-off. Going to switch to Air Video.
The Sling Box is great, I actually have a sling adapter connected to my DISH Network equipment. As a DISH employee I know that the sling adapter gives me the ability to view live TV, recorded programs, or manage my DVR from anywhere using my iPhone. Not tied to the house like other company’s options. Literally you can take your TV with you everywhere.
