A Gifted Man Synopsis

A Gifted Man is a medical supernatural drama produced by CBS that premiered in September of 2011.

Created by Susannah Grant A Gifted Man follows the story of Michael Holt (played by Patrick Wilson), brilliant and wealthy surgeon with a practice in New York City. He is visited by the ghost of his ex-wife Anna (played by Jennifer Ehle), who has recently died in a car crash. She asks him to take over the free clinic she has established, which leads Michael to being exposed to patients in real need, rather than pampered and rich patients he is used to.

With Netflix still recovering from its recent woes, there is a window of opportunity open and waiting for a serious competitor to sneak in. Step forward Amazon, which is rapidly becoming a deadly player in this duel to the death.

Amazon Captures Fox

Amazon has struck a deal with Fox which sees a range of TV shows added to Amazon Prime. Classic television content such as The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24, Arrested Development, and Ally McBeal, and movies including Office Space, Speed, and Mrs. Doubtfire will now be available for Amazon Prime customers to stream to their hearts’ content.

Amazon Prime is the online retailer’s subscription service which currently costs $79-per-year. For that, you not only get streaming video but also free and reduced shipping costs on all products bought through the site.

The Fox content brings the number of episodes available through Amazon Prime up to 11,000, more than double the number available at launch. This compares to the 12,500 episodes available on Netflix, but that costs just under $96-per-year.

Person of Interest is a crime drama television series produced by CBS that premiered in September of 2011.

Created by Jonathan Nolan Person of Interest follows the story of Mr. Finch (played by Michael Emerson), who is a millionaire and who has created a program for the government that predicts crimes that will happen in the future. But the program does not predict when, where or how the crimes will take place. Mr. Finch hires John (played by Jim Caviezel) who is a former CIA agent to help him prevent the crimes.
