Odyssey 5 Synopsis

Odyssey 5 is a Science fiction television series produced by Showtime that premiered in 2002.

Odyssey 5 follows the adventures of four astronauts and journalists witnessing destruction of Earth from space, only to suddenly wake up five years before that event. Starring Peter Weller (Robocop) and Christopher Gorham (”Ugly Betty”) series followed characters’ attempts to stop alien conspiracy responsible for the destruction of the planet.

Odyssey 5 got canceled in October of 2002. after one season.

Sheena Synopsis

Sheena is a fantasy adventure television series that premiered in October of 2000.

Inspired by the 1950s TV series which, in turn was based upon the comic of the same name Sheena follows adventures of the female version of Tarzan (played by Gena Lee Nolin of Baywatch fame), living deep within African jungle.

Sheena aired two seasons.

Stressed Eric Synopsis

The British animated comedy Stressed Eric follows the life of Eric Feeble, a 40-year old office worker and divorcee who is under a bit too much pressure.

Besides work, Eric must also deal with his children (one’s dumb, the other’s allergic to everything), their drunken au pair, and his ex-wife, who contacts him every day.

In the British version Eric was voice by Mark Heap while in the American version he was replaced by Hank Azaria.

The Restaurant Synopsis

The Restaurant is a reality cookery show produced by BBC Two that premiered in 2007.

The Restaurant follows 9 contestant couples with little or no restaurant experience that have to tackle a number of challenges through the series and run their own restaurant. In each episode one couple is eliminated and the winning couple gets to run their own restaurant which is financially backed by French chef Raymond Blanc.

The Restaurant is currently in it’s third season. In the United States the show has been titled Last Restaurant Standing.

Miranda Synopsis

Miranda is a comedy television series produced by BBC Two that premiered in September of 2009.

Miranda was created and stars comedienne Miranda Hart. The series was originally created for radio and was based on Hart’s semi-autobiographical writing. It was titled Miranda Hart’s Joke Shop. Miranda runs a joke shop and tries to deal with her overbearing mother who wants her to finally get a proper job.

Miranda has been commissioned for six episodes.

Hulu is rising once again after having what can only be described as a lull in its incredible growth. Thanks mainly to a new season of TV programming and the addition of ABC content, the U.S. TV catch-up service is growing. Let’s just hope the new embed policy doesn’t hinder that growth.

Hulu On The Up

According to AdAge, Hulu is growing once again after experiencing a few months of static or even negative growth. Figures from the comScore Video Metrix suggest Hulu grew almost 47 percent from September to October.

Over the last month Hulu has served an estimated 856 million video streams, up from the 583 million streamed during September. Unique visitors also rose, up 10 percent from 38.7 million to 42.5 million.

This represents an even bigger jump in viewing figures than that experienced after the Super Bowl ads in February which prompted a 33 percent rise.

Return to the Planet of the Apes Synopsis

Based on the popular film franchise, the animated series Return to the Planet of the Apes depicts a society where apes rule the Earth.

Like the original film, the animated series follows a group of human astronauts who have landed on the planet.

Unlike the original film, the ape society depicted is technologically advanced.
