Sarah Silverman

The Sarah Silverman Program Synopsis

The Sarah Silverman Program is an American comedy series that revolves around the (largely fictionalized) life of comedian Sarah Silverman. The show is known for presenting itself with a “family-friendly” feel, yet contains various sexual innuendos and controversial racial humor.

Series stars include real-life sister Laura Silverman, and fellow comedians Steve Agee and Brian Posehn who play a gay couple. Most episodes involve Sarah “innocently” running into trouble and offending characters like Officer Jay (played by Jay Johnson). By the end of each show Sarah comically explains the life lesson that she learned to her dog.

The Sarah Silverman Program first aired on February 1st, 2007 on Comedy Central and is planned to continue on it’s third season in early 2010 on Logo.
