The Powers of Matthew Star Synopsis

The Powers of Matthew Star is a Science fiction adventure television series produced by NBC that premiered in autumn of 1982.

The Powers of Matthew Star followed the story of titular character (played by Peter Barton), an alien prince hiding in American suburbia and avoiding assassins with the help of his caretaker Walt Shepherd (played by Louis Gossett Jr.). Low ratings caused the producers to dramatically change the concept of the series so that Matthew Star/E’Hawke spent the second half of the season helping American military on various secret missions.
