The Newsroom (2012) Synopsis

The Newsroom (2012) is a drama television series produced by HBO that premiered in June of 2012.

Created by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing and The Social Network) The Newsroom (2012) follows the story of Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels), an anchor at Atlantis Cable News (ACN). After his co-anchor lands a new show and takes most of the staff with him Will is forced to work with his ex-girlfriend MacKenzie (played by Emily Mortimer), who is now his executive producer.

The Newsroom (2012) is currently in its first season.
