The Fashion Show Synopsis
Bravo isn’t crying over the loss of Project Runway to Lifetime. Debuting on May 7 is PR knock-off The Fashion Show, which features 15 aspiring designers competing for a $125,000 cash prize and the opportunity to have their designs sold in the retail market.
The new series is co-hosted by designer Isaac Mizrahi and singer Kelly Rowland. Both will also serve as judges, along with Fern Mallis, senior vice president of IMG Fashion.
The contestants will compete each week in a mini-challenge judged by Harper’s Bazaar special projects director Laura Brown, as well as an elimination challenge. America will get to vote on which designer wins the final prize. There will be 8 episodes in the first season.
