Natali Del ConteYou may or may not have heard of Natali Del Conte, but enough people have watched her various video blogging efforts to make her an a-lister in the world of Web video.

She started out as a writer on TechCrunch, but is now exclusively involved in the visual side of things. After making her own tech news show called Textra, CNET came calling and gave her the Loaded show.

Del Conte Interview

She’s given an interview to Blogger Talks where she talks about the growth of Web-based video, the success of each of her shows, and how much work goes in to having a four-times weekly Internet video show.

She reveals that she was at first apprehensive from switching from the written word, to delivering news and opinions on screen instead. She got over the nervousness though, and now does it solely for a living.

Hard Work But Worth It

CBS recently bought CNET, and she also talks about how that has impacted on things. Overall, she states that video is a much harder medium to work in than text-based journalism.

She sums up by telling us all to break out the webcam, a few of which we have reviewed recently, and doing it for ourselves. Not all of us will be successful, but it could still be fun. Read the interview in full here.
