Life on Mars (UK) Synopsis
Life on Mars (UK) is a science fiction and police procedural drama that debuted in January of 2006 on BBC 1.
The story centers on DCI Sam Taylor (played by John Simms) who after being hit by a car finds himself back in 1973. Back in time he works for Manchester Police and gets paired up with DCI Gene Hunt (played by Philip Glenister).
Life on Mars (UK) won an International Emmy Award and resulted in a series spin-off Ashes to Ashes, as well as the American version of the show that was commissioned by ABC. Life on Mars (UK) ended after 2 seasons.
