Fawlty Towers Synopsis

Fawlty Towers is a comedy series created by John Cleese and Connie Booth and produced by BBC that debuted in 1975.

Fawlty Towers follows the story of Basil Fawlty (played by John Cleese) who runs a small hotel called Fawlty Towers in Torquay, also known as the English Riviera. He is helped by his wife Sybil, maid Polly and waiter/porter Manuel. Cleese based the character of Basil on a rude hotel proprietor at whose hotel he stayed in during filming with Monthy Python.

Fawlty Towers only had 12 episodes altogether but it has been as rated as number one in the list of 100 Greatest British Television Programs.
