Being Mary Jane is a comedy drama television series produced by BET that premiered in July of 2013.

Created by Mara Brock Akil Being Mary Jane follows the story of Mary Jane Paul (played by Gabrielle Union), a succesful TV news anchor with big family, who is trying to juggle her professional life with her family commitments and her social life.
