George W. Bush Gives 1st Video InterviewThe politicians fighting to replace George W. Bush in the White House have embraced the Web, new technology, social networking, and Web video completely in an effort to prove they are with it.

However, Bush himself clearly hasn’t been with it.

However, now that he’s on his way of the White House door, hopefully to be replaced by Barack Obama, he’s decided to embrace the medium and this week gave his first video interview intended purely for the Web.

Yahoo! Video Scoop

Yahoo! Video were the lucky ones to get the scoop, as part of their Politico series of interviewing the candidates and other people involved in the forthcoming election. Mike Allen got to interview the President in the Roosevelt Room of the White House.

Bush was asked a diverse range of questions, from serious ones about the Iraq war, and the alleged torturing of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, to light hearted ones about golf, and his favourite contestant on American Idol.

The Lack Of An Embed

As much as I’d love to embed the video for you all to watch, Yahoo! have failed to provide an embed code, and even the permalink was hard to find.

The full interview is about 20 minutes long, so if you’re really bored, it may be worth a watch. It’s just a shame that it took Bush this long to embrace what is clearly going to become a weapon in the fight for political power.
