Open All Hours Synopsis
Open All Hours was a situation comedy television series produced by BBC Two that premiered in March of 1973.
Created by Roy Clarke Open All Hours followed the story of Albert E. Arkwright (played by Ronnie Barker – Porridge, The Two Ronnies), a miserly owner of a small shop in a town of Doncaster in South Yorkshire. Albert’s nephew Granville Arkwright (played by David Jason – Only Fools and Horses) worked in the shop as a delivery boy and blamed the work schedule on his non existent social life. The series resulted in a spin off called Still Open All Hours.
Open All Hours aired four seasons.
