The Book Group Synopsis

The Book Group is a situation comedy television series produced by Channel 4 that premiered in April of 2002.

The Book Group follows the story of Clare Pettengill (played by Anne Dudek), an American who moves to Glasgow, Scotland. In a bid to meet some new people and make friends she starts a book group. But the group of people that show up are more interesting (and dysfunctional) then she bargained for.

The Book Group aired two seasons.

Jamie Does… Synopsis

Jamie Does… is a cooking and travel television series produced by Channel 4 that premiered in April of 2010.

Jamie Does… is hosted by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and follows his travels all across Europe and North Africa venturing off the beaten track in a bid to explore different cultures and the way they prepare their food at home. In each episode Jamie Oliver creates recipes inspired by his travels to help the viewers to recreate something similar at home.

Oh! Edo Rocket Synopsis

The anime Oh! Edo Rocket is based on the stage play by Kazuki Nakashima.

Oh! Edo Rocket follows a firework maker named Seikichi who lives in medieval Japan.

When Seikichi meets a mysterious princess, he has to build her a rocket that will send her back to her people on the moon.

It looks as though Apple iPad users love watching online video, even more than the rest of us. One study from MeFeedia suggests that the iPad is going to have a big impact on web video and how we all consume and embrace it.

Apple launched its iPad tablet on April 3, and there was an immediate buying frenzy. Then again, there is with every Apple product. Apple shifted 500,000 units in the first week, and now three weeks in, the iPad is estimated to have hit the magic one million units sold milestone.

Apple is aiming the iPad squarely at people who want to consume media on the go, and video is obviously figures heavily in its plans. With a combination of streaming, rentals, and downloads, the iPad could change the way we all consume online video.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life is a semi-scripted reality television show produced by A&E Network that premiered in March of 2010.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life follows the story of actress Kirstie Alley who tries to get back in shape and launch her own weight loss company as well as trying to raise two teenage children Lillie and True as a single mother.

Gravity Synopsis

Gravity is a comedy drama television series produced by Starz Network that premiered on April 23rd 2010.

Created by Jill Franklyn and Eric Schaeffer Gravity follows the stories of a group of suicide patients attending  survivors support program whose lives get meshed together as they try to pick up the pieces and live after failing to kill themselves. The cast includes Krysten Ritter, Ivan Sergei, Eric Schaeffer and Ving Rhames.

Games consoles are continuing to build momentum as a home for online video. The latest innovation sees live video come to the PS3, with MLB.tv streaming games via the Sony console to U.S. subscribers.

Online Video On Consoles

The current generation of games consoles are perfectly placed to become central hubs for entertainment of all kinds, including online video.

There are millions of consoles – the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii – installed in homes around the world, all of which can be hooked up to the Internet with the utmost of ease.

Various companies are taking advantage of this fact. Netflix is available on all three consoles, with the iPlayer, VidZone, and video rentals also available. There’s even a rumor that the Xbox 360 could be getting its own dedicated TV channel.

And now Major league Baseball is getting in on the act.
