Tales of the Unexpected Synopsis

Tales of the Unexpected was an anthology television series produced by ITV that premiered in March of 1979.

Tales of the Unexpected was British anthology series based upon and inspired by sinister and darkly humorous short stories written by Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). The series featured numerous guest stars including Janet Leigh, Joseph Cotten, Ian Holm, John Gielgud, Denholm Elliot, Derek Jacobi and Joan Collins.

Tales of the Unexpected aired nine seasons.

Rentaghost Synopsis

Rentaghost was a children’s comedy television series produced by BBC One that premiered in January of 1967.

Created by Bob Block Rentaghost followed the story of an agency called Rentaghost, located in South Ealing, London, whose owner Fred Mumford (recently deceased himself) rented out ghost to humans for various occassions. Mumford’s two main ghosts were Hubert Davenport, a distinguised gentleman from Victorian era and Timothy Claypole, a medieval jester.

Rentaghost aired nine seasons.

Tales from the Cryptkeeper was American animated TV series based upon a horror anthology series Tales from the Crypt that was, in turn, based upon 1950s EC Comics of the same name.

Produced by director Eli Roth (Hostel) and based upon a novel written by Brian McGreevy, Hemlock Grove follows the story of two teenagers – Peter (played by Landon Liboiron ) and Roman (played by Bill Skarsgård ) – as they investigate death of a teenage girl who was killed by a werewolf.

The Ice Cream Girls Synopsis

The Ice Cream Girls is a drama television series produced by ITV that premiered in April of 2013.

Based on the novel written by Dorothy Koomson The Ice Cream Girls follows the story of two teenage girls – Poppy and Serena (played by Jodhi May and Lorraine Burroughs respectively) – who as a teenagers in 1955 get accused of murdering their school teacher. Poppy gets charged with murder and the two go their separate ways for 17 years. But through a set of circumstances beyond their control they are forced to confront their shared history.

The Ice Cream Girls is currently in its first season.
