Conviction Synopsis

Conviction is a crime drama television series produced by BBC Three that premiered in November of 2004.

Created by Bill Gallagher Conviction follows the story of Faiburn family, who live in a small Lancashire town and are all members of law enforcement – two brothers are officers, while the daughter is a lawyer. When a 12-year-old girl gets murdered the tensions in the small town down on its luck begin to rise and Faiburn family finds themselves in the midst of the tensions.

Conviction aired one season.

Outside Edge Synopsis

Outside Edge is a situation comedy television series produced by ITV that premiered in 1994.

Based on a theater play of the same name written by Richard Harris Outside Edge follows the story of a minor Sunday League cricket team and the two couples who try to win cricket games whilst dealing with their various marital problems. The series stared Brenda Blethyn, Timothy Spall, Robert Daws and Josie Lawrence.

The Case Synopsis

The Case is a legal drama television series produced by BBC1 that premiered in December of 2011.

Created by David Allison The Case follows the story of Tony Powell (played by Dean Andrews – Ashes to Ashes), a man accused of murder of his terminally ill girlfriend. Tony claims it was an assisted suicide, but as the story starts to unravel – was it an act of love or did he take an advantage of a dying woman and take her life?

The Brief Synopsis

The Brief is a legal drama television series produced by ITV1 that premiered in April of 2004.

The Brief follows the story of barrister named Henry Farmer (played by Alan Davies – QI), a bit of a maverick who fights injustice in the courtroom but whose personal life is completely chaotic – he is in debt, his alimony payments are late and he is having an affair with a wife of an MP whose is refusing to leave her husband.

If you’re the source for a pirated movie which then spreads across the Internet like wildfire you could face time in prison. Possibly. If you get caught. Unfortunately for Gilberto Sanchez he did get caught. And is now in jail as a direct result.

Wolverine Pirated

In April 2009, X-Men Origins: Wolverine leaked on the Internet. This wasn’t your typical a-day-after-release kind of affair as experienced by most movies these days, this was a-month-before-release type of deal. And made headlines as a result.

The version which found its way onto the Web was a ‘workprint’ copy of the comic book film, without the special effects having been fully finished. But apart from that the movie was intact.

The movie was first uploaded to Megaupload.com and by the time the authorities managed to get it pulled from the site it had already spread to torrent sites galore.

Bangkok Hilton Synopsis

Bangkok Hilton is an Australian mini-series that premiered in October of 1989.

Directed by Ken Cameron Bangkok Hilton follows the story of Kat Stanton (played by Nicole Kidman), an Australian woman who travels to London to find her father. On her way back she meets a photographer Arkie Ragan (played by Jerome Ehlers) who tricks her into smuggling a packet of heroin in her luggage. Kat gets arrested and thrown into “Bangkok Hilton”, an overcrowded prison. Her father Hal (played by Denholm Elliott) comes to Kat’s rescue and will try to get her out of jail by any means necessary.
