Wilfred Synopsis

Wilfred is a situation comedy television series produced by Fox that premiered in June of 2011.

Based on the Australian series of the same name and created by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar Wilfred follows the story of Ryan (played by Elijah Wood) who is meek and feeling suicidal. He tries to kills himself a few times but then his next door neighbor asks him to mind her dog Wilfred (played by Jason Gann). Much to Ryan’s surprise everyone sees Wilfred as a dog, but he sees him as a man dressed in a dog suit.

Wilfred is currently in its first season.

Sykes Synopsis

Sykes is a situation comedy television series produced by BBC1 that premiered in September of 1972.

Created by Eric Sykes Sykes follows the titular character played by Eric Sykes who lives with his unmarried twin sister Harriet (played by Hattie Jacques) in East Acton in London. The twins are polar opposites – while Eric is immature and childish his sister is devoted, patient and naive. Eric gets involved into some kind of trouble every week that usually involves their neighbors police officer Corky Turnbull (played by Deryck Guyler) and snotty Charles Fulbright-Brown (played by Richard Wattis). The series ended in 1979 after the death of Hattie Jacques.

Sykes aired seven seasons.

Winners & Losers Synopsis

Winners & Losers is a drama television series produced by Australian Seven Network that premiered in March of 2011.

Created by Bevan Lee Winners & Losers follows the story of four women who went to high school together. At the time they did not have much in common apart from the fact they were all considered “losers”. Ten years later they all reconnect at their high school reunion and realize they have more in common than they originally thought.

Sherlock Hound Synopsis

Sherlock Hound is an anime television series jointly produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and the Italian RAI that premiered in November of 1984.

Sherlock Hound (Meitantei Homuzu) was Japanese anime series loosely inspired by A. C. Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories. In the series, titular detective and all the other characters were anthropomorphic animals while the cases frequently featured steampunk gadgets used by evil Professor Moriarty. Oscar-winning animator Hayao Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke, Howl’s Moving Castle) directed several episodes.

Sherlock Hound aired one season.

SeeSaw may not be shutting after all, with buyers possibly queuing up to stage a last-minute buyout. One of which is Criterion Capital Partners, the new owners of Bebo.

SeeSaw Shutting!

SeeSaw was born from the ashes of Project Kangaroo, with Arqiva paying around $12 million to purchase the infrastructure from the BBC and its partners. SeeSaw was seen as a British version of Hulu, but it never achieved Hulu-like status in the U.K.

At the end of May Arqiva announced that SeeSaw was to shut down in a matter of weeks. The online video destination hadn’t been able to secure enough funding, viewers, or content to make it worth persevering with.

But someone, somewhere thinks there is still a chance to do something with the service.
