Gary: Tank Commander is a situation comedy television series produced by BBC Scotland (and showed on BBC One) that premiered in October of 2009.

Created by Greg McHugh Gary: Tank Commander follows the story of Gary McLintoch (also played by series creator) who is a tank commander in the 104th Royal Tank Regiment. He is deployed to Iraq in the first series and the series follows his daily life while on duty and how he tries to unwind with his friends.

Lunch Monkeys Synopsis

Lunch Monkeys is a situation comedy television series produced by BBC Three that premiered in 2009.

Created by David Isaac Lunch Monkeys follows the story of the employees of administration department (mainly the post room) at personal injury company Fox Cranford. The employees (including their manager) are rather lazy, unproductive and not overtly ambitious which annoys the firm’s managing partner.

Lunch Monkeys aired one season and will return for second series.

The anime Cross Game is based on the manga by Mitsuru Adachi.

Episodes is a situation comedy television series jointly produced by BBC and Showtime that premiered on January 9th 2010.

Created by David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik Episodes follows the story of husband and wife TV writers team Beverly (played by Tamsin Greig) and Sean Lincoln (played by Stephen Mangan). They are very successful and their comedy series just won a BAFTA when Hollywood comes calling. They travel to LA to adapt their series for American audience but producers cast Matt LeBlanc to play himself which hinders their work and puts a strain on their marriage.

The Cape Synopsis

The Cape is a superhero drama television series produced by NBC that premiered on January 9th 2011.

Created by Tom Wheeler The Cape follows the story of Vince Faraday (played by David Lyons) who is a former police officer believed to be dead after he was framed for a number of murders. His takes on the identity of superhero The Cape after he takes possession of a special suit that gives him unique capabilities. While his son and wife believe him to be dead he tries to clear his name and also protect them.

Yahoo’s Yahoo! Connected TV platform may be set to get some licensed video-on-demand content from Disney. That’s the same Disney which has blocked Google TV from accessing its content. Then again, this content may not be that good.

Connected TV Platforms

Connected TV platforms are coming at us thick and fast, with the likes of Apple (Apple TV), Google (Google TV), and Boxee (Boxee Box) having released their own in recent months, and that’s just a small selection of those now on offer to consumers.

Yahoo! Connected TV has been with us for a while, and is currently available in 70 different models of television. However, the apps available on it up to now have mostly been widgets (read Web apps) such as those for Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon. In other words, not video content.
