The first reviews of Hulu Plus are in, and they’re generally very positive about the service and the longterm potential of it. But persuading reviewers granted early access to like it is one thing, persuading paying customers to do the same is quite another.

Hulu Plus

After months (over a year in fact) of speculation, Hulu finally unveiled its plans for a subscription-based service. And there were very few surprises in the final announcement as we knew it all already.

Hulu Plus will cost $10-per-month, and buy access to: full seasons of current shows; back catalogs of classic shows; access to the service via televisions, games consoles, and mobile devices including the iPhone and iPad.

Apple has been treating Apple TV as a hobby since it failed to take off after launch. But that could all be about the change, with rumors that Apple is about to reboot the product in a big way.

If true, this is setting up an almighty battle with Google TV. Which should be fun to watch.

Apple TV

Steve Jobs first announced Apple TV back in September 2006, and at that point in time the company supposed it was going to have another huge hit on its hands. But it hasn’t turned out that way, with Apple’s success in computing and mobile devices not seeping through to the living room.

By 2008 Apple was publicly referring to Apple TV as nothing more than a hobby, and the device has remained that way ever since.

However, the last month or so has seen new rumors surfacing that Apple is about the reboot the project, and with so much speculation, and from so many sources, floating around, this would seem to have some weight.

A Touch of Frost Synopsis

A Touch of Frost is a crime drama television series produced by ITV that premiered in December of 1992.

A Touch of Frost was based on six books written by R. D. Wingfield and it follows the story of Detective Inspector Jack Frost (played by David Jason) who is an experienced detective working for homicide unit in fictional town of Denton. Frost does not always follows the police procedure which sometimes puts him at odds with his superior Superintendent Mullet.

Stingray Synopsis

Stingray is an animated children television series produced by ITV that premiered in 1965.

Stingray was one of many children shows created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson using their Supermarionettes format. A Science Fiction series set in 21st century, the show followed adventures of captain Troy Tempest, heroic commander of the state-of-the-art submarine Stingray. With the help of his crew and friends from city of Marineville, captain Tempest fought many underwater perils, including the belligerent Aquaphibians, led by king Titan.

Stingray aired one season.

Tripping the Rift Synopsis

Tripping the Rift is a CGI Science Fiction animated television series produced by SciFi Channel that premiered in March of 2004.

Created by Chris Moeller and Chuck Austen Tripping the Rift heavily spoofed Science Fiction classics like Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica and followed the misadventures of the smuggling space ship “Jupiter 42″ led by its lecherous and incompetent captain Chode McBlob. After some reluctance on part of SciFi Channel to continue its broadcast, series moved onto Canadian channels Space and Teletoon.

Tripping the Rift aired three seasons.
