Lowdown Synopsis

Lowdown is a situation comedy television series produced by Australian ABC1 that premiered in April of 2010.

Lowdown was created by Amanda Brotchie and Adam Zwar and it follows the story of Alex Burchill (played by Adam Zwar) who is a celebrity and entertainment journalist and his best friend and photographer Bob Geraghty (played by Paul Denny) who work for Sunday Sun, an ailing tabloid newspaper. Lowdown is narrated by Geoffrey Rush.

Lowdown is currently in its first season.

Tangle Synopsis

Tangle is a drama television series produced by Showtime Australia that premiered in October of 2009.

Tangle is written by Fiona Seres and Tony McNamara and it follows the story of two families – Williams and Kovac. Nat Manning (played by Kat Stewart) returns to Melbourne after spending 15 years in England. Tim Williams (played by Joel Tobeck) is a tipped to be the new Australian Premier but Nat’s return uncovers they had an affair which resulted in pregnancy.

Tangle aired one season and second season is currently in production.

The third annual Indian Premier League cricket tournament has just ended, and all matches were available to watch, for free, on YouTube.

Flushed with that success, Google is now reportedly looking to do deals which will see other live sports shown on YouTube.

YouTube Diversifying

YouTube is now much more diverse in its video output than it was when Google took over. Sure, the vast majority of the one billion videos streamed every day are still user-generated content, but there are other options.

YouTube now carries TV programming, dedicated music video channels, and even movies, both free and to rent. And sport can also be added to the list, first with coverage of the Beijing 2008 Olympics and more recently all 60 matches from the IPL shown on the site.

The series depicts a post-apocalyptic Japan where nuclear disasters have turned the country into a desert.

Dan For Mayor Synopsis

Dan For Mayor is a situation comedy television series produced by CTV that premiered in March of 2010.

Dan For Mayor follows the story of Dan (played by Fred Ewanuick) who is in his mid 30s and works as a bartender. Simultaneously he learns that his ex-girlfriend got engaged and becomes a candidate for a mayor of a small fictional town of Wessex in Ontario.

9 By Design is a reality television series produced by Bravo TV Network that premiered in April of 2010.

9 By Design follows the story of Cortney and Bob Novogratz and their six children. Cortney and Bob own a design company Design Sixx based in New York, known for their impeccable taste and ability to turn neglected properties into hip and contemporary spaces. At the beginning of the series (and in the middle of their latest remodel) Cortney announces she is pregnant with their seventh child.
