Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is an animated horror television series produced by HBO that premiered in May of 1997.

Created by Todd McFarlane Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is based on the Spawn series published by Image Comics. It follows the story of Al Simmons who gets betrayed and killed by a close friend. He swears he will get his revenge and return to his wife Wanda. The only way Simmons can return to Earth is by making a pact with Malebolgia (the devil) who sends him back to Earth in an decaying body.

Pumpkin Scissors Synopsis

Based on the manga by Ryoutaro Iwatanaga, Pumpkin Scissors takes place in the aftermath of a great war.

To help the war relief effort, the elite group called Pumpkin Scissors was formed.

Pumpkin Scissors helps deal with corruption and other crimes that occur in the postwar period.

Connected TV platforms are growing in number as everyone tries to grab a piece of the emerging Web video sector. Vudu, up to now a distinct also-ran, has increased its chances of standing out from the crowd by being acquired by budget retailer Wal-Mart.

Vudu is one of the many companies which started out offering a set-top box for serving Web video to consumers. When that strategy didn’t work, it became one of the many companies which switched to focusing on software rather than hardware.

This means Vudu’s service is now included on a number of other Web-connected devices instead, including televisions and Blu-ray players. The Wal-Mart deal will inevitably affect deals in place with Mitsubishi, Sanyo, Sharp, and Toshiba, but quite how isn’t clear.

Masterchef (UK) Synopsis

Masterchef (UK) is a cookery game show produced by BBC One that premiered in 1990.

Masterchef (UK) followed the format in which three amateur cooks competed in each episode with nine contestants going to the semi finals. The show was presented by Loyd Grossman. In 2005 the format of the show changed and it was renamed MasterChef and it introduced two permanent judges – John Torode and Gregg Wallace. In new format four contestants compete in the semi final. There is also a version of the show called Celebrity Masterchef and Masterchef: The Professionals (where professionals chef compete for a place in the final).

Masterchef (UK) will return for 12th season in February of 2010.

The Life and Times of Tim Synopsis

The Life and Times of Tim is a comedy animated television series produced by HBO that premiered in September of 2008.

Created by Steve Dildarian The Life and Times of Tim follows the story of Tim (voice over by Steve Dildarian), who is a young man in his twenties and lives with his girlfriend Amy in New York. As episodes go on Tim finds himself in rather embarrassing and awkward situations both at work and at home. The series has been shown in a number of countries all over the world.

The Life and Times of Tim is currently in it’s second season.

YouTube looks to be expanding its video rental service despite only mild success with the experiment with Sundance film festival offerings earlier this year. And it isn’t just films being offered for paid streaming, with anime, travel, craft, and fitness videos added to the mix.

YouTube Video Rentals

YouTube signaled its intent to start charging for some videos last September, with rumors of a movie rental service priced at $3.99-a-film emerging.

The trail then went cold until January of this year when YouTube officially released the first five offerings under the new service. Until then, the service had merely been trialled by Google employees.
