The Game Synopsis

The Game is a sports comedy drama television series produced by the CW network that premiered in October of 2006.

The Game is a spin-off of another CW series Girlfriends. The series follows the story of Melanie Barnett (played by Tia Mowry) who declines a place at Johns Hopkins University of Medicine to be with her boyfriend Derwin (played by Pooch Hall) who is a professional football player. The couple move to San Diego and Melanie tries to juggle her life as a medicine student and a girlfriend of a famous athlete.

1-800-Missing is a crime mystery television series produced by Lifetime that premiered in August of 2003.

1-800-Missing follows the story of Jess Mastriani (played by Caterina Scorsone) who stars having psychic abilities after being hit by a lightning. After she helps solve a few missing person cases FBI hires her as a consultant but she soon decides to become an FBI agent.

A Fine Romance Synopsis

A Fine Romance is a situation comedy television series produced by ITV that premiered in November of 1981.

A Fine Romance follows the story of Laura Dalton (played by Judi Dench) who is middle aged, single and socially inept. Her sister Susan sets her up with a shy gardener Mike (played by Michael Williams). The series follows their unlikely romance and bad luck that seems to follow them everywhere.

Bottom Synopsis

Bottom is a comedy television series produced by BBC that premiered in September of 1991.

Created and written by Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson Bottom follows the story of Richie (played by Mayall) and Eddie (played by Edmondson). The pair are best friends, who are also crude, rude and perverted, they both have no job, no money and share a flat in Hammersmith. The show was known for it’s rather violent slapstick.

Bottom aired three seasons and spawned a live tour.

The BBC iPlayer has now been with us for two whole years, and in that time has grown in usability and popularity. To celebrate this anniversary, the BBC has revealed usage stats for the service, including popular content, popular times for watching, and how the iPlayer is accessed.

The BBC launched the iPlayer on Christmas Day 2007 after six months in beta. In that short time, the iPlayer had already been improved substantially, with streaming options added as well as download options, and operating systems other than Windows supported.

Since then, the iPlayer has grown in leaps and bounds.

This year saw a semi-relaunch with downloads for Mac and Linux users, and HD content added to the already impressive line-up of content. The iPlayer also migrated to a number of other devices, including the PS3, the Wii, and the iPhone.

The BBC has marked the iPlayer’s second birthday by releasing detailed stats for the service in 2009.

Shameless Synopsis

Shameless is a comedy drama television series produced by Channel 4 that premiered in January of 2004.

Created by Paul Abbott Shameless follows the story of Frank Gallagher (played by David Threlfall) and his six children who all live on a fictional council estate Chatsworth in Manchester. The series gives a humorous look on the working class culture and it has won a number of awards.

Shameless aired six seasons, while seventh season is slated for January 2010. Eight season has already been commissioned and in the United States Showtime is developing the American version of the series.

Wild Card Synopsis

Wild Card is a comedy drama mystery television series produced by Lifetime that premiered in August of 2003.

After her sister dies Zoe Busiek (played by Joely Fisher) is forced to quit her job as a blackjack dealer and move to Chicago to take care of her sister’s three children. She ends up working as a insurance fraud investigator and each episode centers on one of her cases but also on her family life.
