August 23rd, 2007 at 12:48 amWhile IPTV over wireless is difficult, it is certainly viable using WiMAX networks. WiMAX provides a broadcast and multicast service which is meant precisely for such applications. The QoS can be managed over the air by using the service flows of the WiMAX network.
In fact the entire sprint service ( XOHM) is based on this concept.

June 1st, 2009 at 12:45 pmI am trying to find solution for IPTV through wireless network i contact many IPTV equipment provide they inform me through wireless it will not be easy to provide user iptv becs example the base station through put isabout 54 Mbps and every user need 4 mega to provide good quility to him so u can connect max 10 user to one base station and it will be so expensive to users if u need to buy one base station to every 10 user if any one have better solution i wish he can contact me
