Joost has just acquired Hal Schechner’s OnTheToob. On the back of the wave of independent developers contributing helpful features to Joost, Schmecher’s OnTheToob is essentially a programming guide built specifically for Joost Beta testers so that they can better make sense of Joost’s 238 channels via customized channels and RSS feeds

Smelling the undeniable bouquet of a great idea Joost has, according to the JoostTeam blog (which is not directly affiliated with the company), snapped up Schechner and plonked him down firmly in pay-roll territory. Were guessing those Google ads that are currently up on OnTheToob won’t be there for much longer.
