What About Joan is a situation comedy television series produced by ABC that premiered in March of 2001.

What About Joan was American sitcom about Chicago schoolteacher Joan Gallagher (played by Joan Cusack) and her confidantes: fellow teacher Betsy (played by Jessica Hecht ) and psychiatrist Ruby (played by Donna Murphy). Joan also blunders into a relationship with good-natured but equally awkward Jake (played by Kyle Chandler).
