Mildred Pierce Synopsis

Mildred Pierce is a historical drama television show produced by HBO that premiered in March of 2011.

Directed and written by Todd Haynes Mildred Pierce is based on a 1945 movie of the same name starring Joan Crawford. It follows the story of Mildred Pierce (played by Kate Winslet) living in Los Angeles during the period of Great Depression. After getting separated from her husband Mildred is forced to take care of herself and her daughter. She opens up a restaurant and meets a new man all the while having problems with her self absorbed and selfish daughter.

Mildred Pierce is currently in its first season.
