April 14th, 2007 at 9:19 amI may be missing something here, but Brightcove has always given publishers the ability to launch highly-customized, branded Internet video channels and players. Here are a few Brightcove customers that have done just that:
ELLE Magazine

Sony BMG

IFC

FOX’s Speed TV

Fangoria TV

April 14th, 2007 at 9:34 amYou’re not wrong - but who said there only has to be one company in one industry space.
BirghCove and thePlatform differ in a number of ways and will appeal to different video publishers with different aims.
My understanidng is that Brightcove is generally a low cost solution but involve’s revenue share. Whereas the Platform is the reverse.
Also Brightcove’s custom options are not as custimizable and brandable as thePlatform which gives a lot more freedom.
mpsPresent also encompasses a desktop video player (as opposed to browser based).
