You Must Be the Husband Synopsis

You Must Be the Husband is a situation comedy television series produced by BBC that premiered in September of 1987.

Created by Colin Bostock-Smith You Must Be the Husband follows the story of Alice (played by Diane Keen) and Tom Hammond (played by Tim Brooke-Taylor). Tom is surprised to learn that his wife has written a romance novel but also that the book is a bestseller that has made them extremely wealthy. The series follows as Alice struggles with her new found success and as Tom struggles with the fame that comes with it.
