The Politician’s Husband Synopsis

The Politician’s Husband is a political drama mini-series produced by BBC Two that premiered in April of 2013.

Created by Paula Milne The Politician’s Husband follows the story of a married couple who both work in politics – Aiden (played by David Tennant – Broadchurch, Doctor Who) and Freya Holnes (played by Emily Watson). After Aiden is forced to resign, Freya finds herself assigned to the cabinet and out of her husband’s shadow. But she is forced to make a choice between her own ambition and her marriage.

The Politician’s Husband is currently in its first season.
