Van der Valk Synopsis

Van der Valk is a crime television series produced by ITV that premiered in September of 1972.

Loosely based upon crime novels written by Nicolas Freeling, Van der Valk was a British crime series following Simon van der Valk (played by Barry Foster), Dutch police detective working the cases in seedier parts of Amsterdam. The fifth and last season was made and aired in 1991.

Van der Valk aired five seasons.
