Callan Synopsis

Callan was a spy television series produced by ITV that premiered in July of 1967.

Callan starred Edward Woodward (Wicker Man) as David Callan, professional killer with a troubled conscience working for British intelligence service. The series – that aired from 1967 until 1972 – was preceded by Armchair Theatre teleplay Magnum for Schneider. It also resulted in a 1974 movie Callan and a 1981 reunion episode Wet Work. Woodward later went on to play a distinctly similar character in American TV series Equalizer.

Callan aired four seasons.
