The Shield Synopsis
The Shield is a crime drama television series produced by FX Networks that premiered in March of 2002.
Created by Shawn Ryan The Shield follows the story of Strike Team, an experimental division of Los Angeles Police Department that fights the gangs and will stop at nothing until the justice is served. The members of Strike Team are lead by Vic Mackey (played by Michael Chiklis). Series had an ensemble cast so there were various story lines through each season. Notable guest stars include Glenn Close, Forest Whitaker, Laurie Holden and Franka Potente. The Shield won a number of Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
The Shield aired seven seasons.
