The Outer Limits (1963) is an anthology SF series produced by ABC that premiered in 1963.

The Outer Limits (1963) was inspired in no small part by The Twilight Zone that ran on CBS in late 1950s. The main difference between the two shows was that The Outer Limits (1963) focused a lot more on science fiction tales instead on ones dealing with supernatural. The Outer Limits (1963) achieved a cult status and it was successfully revived in the mid-1990es when it ran for seven seasons – first on Showtime and then on Sci-Fi Channel.
