The Leftovers Synopsis

The Leftovers is a drama television series produced by HBO that premiered in June of 2014.

Based on the book written by Tom Perrotta and adapted for television by Perrotta and Damon Lindelof (Lost) The Leftovers follows the story of the residents of a small town who were left behind after 2% of the world’s population disappeared in a Rapture type of event. The series examines how the people who were left behind are coping in the aftermath. The cast includes Justin Theroux, Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), Amy Brenneman (Private Practice) and Liv Tayler.

The Leftovers is currently in its first season.
