The Knick Synopsis

The Knick is a medical drama television series produced by Cinemax that premiered in August of 2014.

Directed by Steven Soderbergh The Knick follows the story of Dr. John Thackery (played by Clive Owen), a newly appointed head of surgery at the New York’s Knickerbocker Hospital in 1900. Hospital staff is forced to battle with the high mortality rates and come up with innovative surgical methods while being limited with the medication that was available at the time.

The Knick is currently in its first season and while second season has already been commissioned.
