The Book of Daniel Synopsis
The Book of Daniel is a drama television series produced by NBC that premiered in January of 2006.
The Book of Daniel is set in Newbury, Westchester County, New York and it follows the story of Daniel Webster (played by Aidan Quinn), a progressive Episcopal priest who is addicted to painkillers. His wife Judith (played by Susanna Thompson) on the other hand has an alcohol problem. Daniel also has regular visions of Jesus (played by Garret Dillahunt). Although the series was promoted as Christian, many Christians were not happy with the controversial content and the network had problems finding advertisers.
The Book of Daniel aired one season and it was the first NBC series to be streamed on the Internet.
