New Street Law Synopsis
New Street Law is a legal drama television series produced by BBC One that premiered in May of 2006.
Created by G. F. Newman and Matthew Hall New Street Law follows the story of two barristers – Jack Roper (played by John Hannah) and Laurence Scammel (played by Paul Freeman) – who are former friends, but now head two rival chambers in the city of Manchester. While Jack works for the defense, Laurence works for the prosecution, but that is not the only difference between the two as both have very different ideas on what justice looks like.
